About Shipping To You
My goal is to ship your dog to you in the shortest route possible, preferrably without an intermittent stop.
Your dog could be flown via airplane, we could meet you in one of our neighboring states, or you-YOURSELF can contact an independent
ground shipper ***See Information Below***.
Airline Flights and Ground Shipping
When I ship airlines, I'll look for the best deal for the dogs safety. If your pocket-book
is a primary factor, let me know at the onset so we can give you budget every consideration too. I will check various
airlines and various times, advising you of my findings.
I must always leave
a back-up-flight, even if that is with an alternative airlines. I will contact you when the dog has been accepted onto
the airlines and you contact me when you receive him. Be
aware, that means I might call you earlier than you like.
All dogs must be vet-checked on your
end within three days of your receiving them in order for me to stand behind the dog; please set up your vet appointment now.
APPROXIMATE costs to ship via airplane will include:
airfare$220+, unless you COD on Delta
gasoline $40,
crate and food bowls $45,
vet certification $40
Rabies $10 (sometimes optional, sometimes mandatory)
possible stool check $? (optional but important to rid of pests)
$20 microchip (optional if under
6 months).
I do not ship during the most extreme weather such as Christmas and July when temperatures
make it almost impossible, unless it is shipping out/of or into a moderate climate. Shipping during extreme temperatures can
cause problems at the last minute, problems such as HAVING to ship to a cooler or warmer climate, or such as having to use
a carrier which controls temperature better. Please stay flexible and please let me know what you desire versus what
you require.
Shipping prices vary. The above expense chart is approximate and additional
funds might be necessary. I do not charge for my wages. The $40 gasoline fee does not cover my trip to/from Pittsburgh
airport. If there are any small excess funds from the crate/food bowls, they hopefully cover the remaining gasoline
usage.
Breeder would administer microchip ($20 charge to customer-optional if between 4
to 6 or 7 months), worming medication (no additional charge), and regular vaccinations (no additional charge). Stool
samples with the local vet have a 60%chance of successfully testing for parasites. Breeders usually just medicate the
dog or skip this entirely. I prefer to treat the dog so there are no parasites to add to their fearful trip.
Customer pays for all items except worming medications and regular vaccinations. If the customer wants stool
checks, microchips, or other additional items such as dog collars, toys or leashes, customer pays for them.
Animal will not be shipped with toys, rugs, beds, or dog collars on the animal or inside the crate.
Under
certain circumstances, we might consider meeting you along a route for a pre-paid dog. Wee might add an additional gasoline
charge if we meet further than 20 miles away from my home.
I am occasionally asked
if I know of a ground shipper who will coordinate shipping to a neighboring state instead of an air flight. I have heard
of one ground delivery service and discussed with them their objectives in shipping. I think I have found a reasonable
alternative to air flight shipping with a "thinking" company who is, quite possibly, as honest as I attempt to be.
YOU, the purchaser, are solely responsible for your transportation decision and for the
welfare of the dog once it leaves my hands with whatever delivery or shipping service you choose.
One of our customers utilized Shofar ground shipping service October 15, 2008. I spoke
with the shippers, Charles Goetz and Leonard Stein, and was pleased to hear what I thought were words showing I could trust
and have confidence in these competent shippers.
I conduct business
with those who stand by their word, who communicate clearly without attitudes, who don't blame and degrade, and who, generally,
handle themselves with character and class.
If I ever hear of any
negative report, I will remove contact names from my web page, though I am confident they have and will ship well. Both of
these men communicated clearly in a respectful and communicative manner. That's what I want when I deal with a business...character,
quality, precision and independent thinking. IF something goes wrong, I want all parties to be able to communicate well
with for the need(s) of the dog(s). I think I see that in these two!
Customer/Purchaser of the dog assumes responsibility to contact and follow-up and communicate with
the shippers AND makes up their own minds on whether or not to use these shippers. Shipping with them remains the sole responsibility of the
Customer/Purchaser of the dog(s), not with the breeder.
I require a vet-check by my vet JUST before I ship a dog through any shipper, air or ground or friend.
A vet check is around $30 and will be paid by customer/purchaser. You may contact my vet and her staff to
verify facts prior to and after the vet check prior to shipment.

About PayPal
Wee prefer to accept cash or bank-drawn money order
in payment of a dog, and are quite willing to wait for the U. S. "Snail Mail" to deliver either an over-night envelope
or through the normal U. S. "snail mail" route. Some people have asked to pay on PayPal, but the costs and
potential problems of PayPal have prohibited us from adding it -- until now.
If you choose to use PayPal, you must add a 3% additional charge to the cost of the dog for any amount you send
through PayPal.
Please make sure you contact me, Sarah, BEFORE
pressing the PayPal button or I will REFUSE all sales. The price of the dog might have changed or the dog might
have been sold already.
You might wish to split the payments into several payments,
or pay at the time of pick-up, or only pay the deposit with PayPal. You choose. Just call before you press the
PayPal button.
Obviously, adding PayPal brings new payment options to the table even if it might also bring a little
more confusion. With bank-drawn money order or cash, you and I have better control over the money.

Planning to breed a Chihuahua???
Wee are striving to make successive generations reinforcing the characteristics
AKC and CCA prefer in the Chihuahua breed. By breeding Rocket's line with Timmie's line, the new pedigree is
quite strong in pulling out champsionship qualities. Added with the third male with similar kennel names and you
have wonderful quality puppies.
Rocket is our foundation sire; his parents having
been purchased from Max Hurd (an AKC judge and Chihuahua breeder)--so you KNOW there's quality behind him.
Rocket does a GREAT job of downsizing and stamping his "type" on his get. We're looking for an additional
Hurd or Davishall male to compliment him.
Timmie has just come into breeding age and is producing stockier-bodied
puppies with fabulous heads. Guarico, Timmie's father, has a brother named Guadaloupe who was reportedly
of equal quality to Timmie's father and was reportedly championed and sold to Japan for $20,000. Timmie's Mother
took points as she headed for her championship. Wee are extremely pleased with both Timmie and Rocket's pedigrees
and puppies and are excited about blending the two pedigrees into the puppies.
If you are looking at our dogs for breeding, contact us and
we'll look at things photo-by-photo, name-by-name, characteristic-by-characteristic and pedigree-by-pedigree. I
think breeders ought to know exactly what to expect without exaggerations or omissions.
Too many breeders feign purchasing a "pet" when they actually want a breeder with no questions asked. Wee
sell all our dogs as "Limited" which restricts the breeding rights of the unscrupulous who don't want
to be as honest with us about their breeding as wee are with them. Wee sell our dogs as limited because wee want
to keep our dogs out of the unscrupulous puppy mills.
In 2008, wee
started breeding Rocket and Timmie offspring together. The results, though only a few have been born, are OUTSTANDING in quality! Print the pedigrees from Timmie and Rocket, and highlight the repetitious
relatives in the fourth and fifth generations, and you'll quickly see a nicely line-bred breeding program between the
two pedigrees, which particularly includes some of the best ole' time names and ole' time kennels. Each male
has more than half champions behind them, too, and that quality is showing up quickly in the puppies!

When we chose our females, we had to keep cost in mind, of course,
but couldn't compromise in quality. Wee looked for pedigrees with ole' time kennel and ole' time dog names.
Wee looked at littermates and asked a lot of questions. I think we did quite well in choosing females and am always
on the lookout for a few more dogs with those same names to add to our home.
Starting 2009, we will be consolidating all our Chihuahua notes to produce portfolio
sheets and pedigrees on all our breeders. Of course we have a collection of photos
to include in those portfolios and intend to give a portfolio to every breeder purchased.
And because
wee're gathering honest information, disclosing flaws and benefits, and eliminating "problem lines", wee do
charge $300 to $500 to breeders to cover those costs. Otherwise, all our dogs are sold as "limited"; meaning
you will receive valid AKC papers on your dog, but AKC would not provide papers on any puppies your dog would produce.
Feel free to print the two pedigrees below, highlighting the redundancies between them.

Kodiak is brother (same parents) to Ch Ouachitah Beau Chiene, Rom X, and has numerous "big name" championed offspring.

for honest breeding information and for elimination of lines with serious flaws.
